Maryland State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education

Renewal Date: Every two years from the date of original licensure

Hours Required: 15 hours

Effective 10/1/2023 -All first time licensees who were issued an initial real estate associate broker or salesperson license on or after 10/1/23, the subject matter of continuing education courses is different. Please click here to be redirected to the correct page for first time renewals.

SUBSEQUENT RENEWALS - subsequent renewal licensees are required to complete the following:

  • 3.0 Ethics (D)

  • 4.5 Electives

COMMERCIAL Designation (SOLELY - NO RESIDENTIAL BUSINESS) Salespersons and Assoc. Brokers: 15 hours

  • 3.0 Legal & Legislative (A)
  • 3.0 Brokerage Relationships and Disclosure (H)
  • 3.0 Ethics (D)
  • 6.0 Electives
